For the eighth edition of the Winter Romania Historic Rally, Paul Lacombe, George Grigorescu, Simon Arpad and Regis Dufresne will continue with the well-known formula that has served so well and includes three days of racing in loops around the city of Covasna in Transylvania, one of the coldest regions of Romania.  The snowy and icy forest roads on the Comandaù plateau will of course be on the programme, providing guaranteed sliding and driving pleasure for competitors.

With warmer winter weather becoming the norm in Mediterranean regions the snowy and icy forest roads in Romania will provided guaranteed slipping and sliding

With a total distance of approximately 390 kilometres, including 230kms of timed special stages, the Winter Romania Rally, sanctioned by the FRAS (Romanian Federation of Sports Automobiles) and the Romanian Automobile Club (ACR), is open to VHC, 2 and 4 wheel drive vehicles, with or without HTP registered before the end of 1995.  The five-star Hotel Clermont, located in Covasna, will serve as the base camp for the event.  Organisers can help with accommodation and transport of the cars to Romania.  Dates are 19-21 January and entries are at www.romania-historic-rally.com.
