Velocity Invitational Moves Back to Sonoma

After a successful year at Sonoma Raceway in 2019, before the COVID pandemic put a stop to just about everything, Jeff O’Neill’s Sonoma Speed Festival was renamed Velocity Invitational and moved to Laguna Seca, home of the long-running Monterey Motorsports Reunion, which takes place in August.  Velocity Invitational met with great success there in November 2021 and October of last year and, inevitably, comparisons have been made between the two events.  The press absolutely loves O’Neill’s way of doing things, and so apparently do the owners of some of the best racing cars on the west coast of America and even further afield, as the grids have been of the highest quality at all three events and the demos and static exhibitions have attracted many truly exceptional cars.

This year Velocity moves back to Sonoma on 10-12 November, with details of featured marques, displays, demos and themes to be announced in the coming months.  Meanwhile they would like to hear from prospective entrants at drivers@velocityinvitational.com.
