It seems that the big summer Silverstone race meeting, now known as the Silverstone Festival, the name with which it began life as long ago as 1990 (Christies Historic Festival, then Coys Historic Festival), gets busier and busier, and this year there are 20 separate races on the programme, showcasing cars from pre-war to the 2000s.  Many old favourites are on the timetable, such as Pre-War cars, Woodcote Trophy and Touring cars from MRL, sportscars, pre-‘66 GT, F1s and endurance cars up to 2016 from Masters, Grand Prix cars from the HGPCA, Formula Junior and, added this year will be rounds of the new international F2 and F3 Interseries, both grids a joint venture of the HSCC and French organiser HVM.   Also, back for 2024 is the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy for Historic Cars, going to a pre-‘63 car   As always, there will be plenty of club cars, many rarely seen, fun fairs, music and dancing, vendors’ stalls, children’s activities and other off-track attractions on the giant Silverstone campus.  A true summer Festival.
