We are very sorry to learn of the recent passing of Sally Mason-Styrron at the age of 70, a real enthusiast who, along with husband Dudley, owned and exercised a truly splendid collection of sports and racing cars over a lifetime’s involvement in historic motor sport. Among the many cars with which she competed, she will be particularly remembered for her long-term campaigning of their ex-works Ferrari 166 MM (0040M 50) and also an ex-Chris Amon Formula 2 Ferrari Dino 166/246, which Sally used for hillclimbs in the 1980s and 90s. She took part in the first Goodwood Festival of Speed in 1993 and had appeared at every one since. She was also a regular in the Tour Auto and the Cento Ore in the couple’s Group 4 Ferrari Daytona. Open and always friendly, she was like a ray of sunshine in the paddock. Our sincere condolences go to husband Dudley and her family and multitude of friends in the motor sport world.
