Renowned trailer manufacturer Brian James launched its new lightweight enclosed trailer at the Autosport International exhibition in January. Having shaved 200kgs off the previous RT6 model, the newly designed RT7 boasts an industry-first electric actuator with a wireless remote that operates the rear door and tilt bed and a new electric winch with synthetic rope and wireless operation that is lighter and less damaging to hands and bodywork than traditional steel wire. With features like composite flooring, which is much lighter and stronger than traditional deck-board, and bright, modern LED lighting, the RT7 has lifted the standard to the next level. It is available in various configurations, as a tri-axle or twin-axle in both bed lengths (5.5m and 6.0m) and bed widths (2.1m and 2.3m). The RT6 will remain in production, but the RT7 is for those who are looking for a high-specification, technologically-advanced, premium trailer.
