The Royal Automobile Club is looking for nominations for its fifth annual Historic Awards.  These awards give both those professionally involved in the industry and classic motoring enthusiasts the opportunity to nominate the truly exceptional people, companies, events, and achievements they feel deserve recognition.  Eligibility is based on achievements made within the period between 1 October 2022 and 30 September 2023 and nominations close on 1 October.  Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by a third party in one of several categories.  The winners will be revealed at an awards’ evening at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall on Thursday, 23 November.

Further, the Club has sent out a reminder to all automotive authors and publishers to submit their entries for the Motoring Book of the Year Awards before the 31 August deadline.  For the tenth consecutive year, the Awards are open to all motoring and motor racing books published between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023 and not limited to British publications.  The winners will be announced at the Club’s dedicated Awards night on Wednesday, 1 November in London’s Pall Mall as one of its Motoring Week highlights.

“Our Awards have a simple aim:  to champion the best automotive books and the talented people who write them,” said Jeremy Vaughan, Royal Automobile Club Head of Motoring. “They’re open to absolutely anyone who feels their published work has merit, whether a title on a specific marque or driver or even a more general motoring topic.”
