This hugely popular 10-day adventure is back on the calendar for 2024. Starting in London, the route winds its way down the western side of Europe through four different countries to the Atlantic coastline and Portugal’s capital city. From the shores of Brittany, through the vineyards of Cognac, overnight halts in Bordeaux, San Sebastian, Salamanca, and the Douro Valley will be among the highlights on the seventh edition of this spring-time classic that makes the most of these beautiful regions away from the busy tourist season. A 2,800km route on some of Europe’s quietest roads and scenic views will cross all varieties of landscapes from rolling vineyards and flat marshlands to the Pyrenees mountains, Douro Valley, and numerous National Parks. With some 35 regularity sections, and several special tests, participants will cover on average about 300kms per day starting on 25 May, when the weather in the south should be perfect. Entries are open at heroevents.eu.
