Open to owner drivers of suitable cars with drum brakes, built and registered between 1947 and 1961, the HSCC’s Griffiths Haig Trophy series has been offered four double header race weekends this year at top-quality venues.  These are at the Silverstone GP circuit on 4 May, Donington Park (8-9 June), the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit (13-14 July) and the Castle Combe Autumn Classic (21-22 September).

The Castle Combe date will honour the origins of the HSCC at the track where the very first Griffiths Formula race for historic sports cars of the 1950s was held in May 1966. This year’s race will mark the 58th anniversary of the race that led to the formation of the HSCC. Guy Griffiths and Betty Haig were the two key people in the creation of that race and the subsequent origins of the Club.
