Motor Racing Legends has released the following statement from founder Duncan Wiltshire following an inquiry into events that took place at Donington in May:

Statement from Motor Racing Legends 8th July 2024

Following a serious incident in the Motor Racing Legends Stirling Moss Trophy at the Donington Historic Festival on 4th May, a driver was disqualified from the meeting for ‘driving in a manner not compatible with general safety’ with points applied to their licence.

It is the view of Motor Racing Legends that this behaviour has no place in any of our races, indeed not at any Historic meeting. Motor Racing Legends has always striven to reflect the historical significance of the cars and to celebrate the amateur spirit of the era. Such behaviour falls far short of the minimum standards that we expect, as outlined in the Motor Racing Legends ‘Code of Racing Ethics’. As such, the driver in question will not be invited to participate in Motor Racing Legends events for the foreseeable future.
