Equipe 50s Back on the Programme

Equipe Classic Racing first launched the 50s series in 2020 but it lost momentum into covid, and since then, grids have been combined with Pre ‘63 and others.  However, entries for these lovely cars have increased to the point where they can now support their own stand-alone races once again, and Equipe has announced that, starting at their Silverstone meeting on 8-9 June, these cars will run in their own dedicated race.

Cars run on Dunlop Historic Tyres to FIA appendix K specification, but HTPs are not mandatory.  Equipe 50s is a series of races and not a championship so drivers can take part when time and budgets allow.  Trophies are awarded for classes including a class for drum braked cars.

Races feature a rolling start with most races having a 40-minute pit stop format for one or two drivers.  Two-day meetings have a 20-minute qualifying and a 30-minute race each day.  The upgraded package on the Silverstone GP circuit now comes with a full hospitality package including lunch.  Contact Equipe Classic Racing for entries equipeclassicracing.com.
