Montlhéry Centenary

Since its opening in 1924, the Autodrome at Linas-Montlhéry has seen generations of motor sport, from racing to record breaking and finally now, since it has lost its race homologation, to club gatherings, track days and demos, and of course, vehicle testing and type approval, for which the circuit’s owners UTAC are market leaders.

UTAC does not want to let such a momentous milestone as the Centenary go by unnoticed, and they have engaged none other than Peter Auto to create a Centenary Festival for them that fully honours the venue’s illustrious history.

Six grids of cars, and two of motorbikes will take to the track, illustrating that long history, starting with pre-war cars and bikes and coming all the way up to a grid of modern supercars, passing through the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s and the era of the 1000kms of Paris when 910 and 917 Porsches hurled round the iconic banking.

Infield festivities are planned, with club gatherings, an exhibition of many of the past record-breakers, vendors stalls, children’s activities and a giant Ferris wheel in a proper festival atmosphere.   Dates are 12-13 October.  If you haven’t driven on the Montlhéry banking and you want to give yourself a treat, go to
