Comexposium has announced that duPont REGISTRY Group (DRG) will become its exclusive partner to create an American edition of the Rétromobile Show. With diversified portfolio brands, that include Cavallino, Canossa Events, Petrolicious and Sotheby’s Motorsport, DuPont Registry Group is part of the bigger Miami-based Motorsport Network conglomerate. It also runs its own duPont Registry Events company, headed by Gérard Neveu, former director of the Paul Ricard circuit and CEO of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The new event will be held in the United States in 2025 and be a continuation of the nearly 50-year history of a unique event that brings together manufacturers and their heritage departments, dealers, parts suppliers, artists, organisers, collectors, auction houses and over 130,000 visitors over five days each year to the Paris show.
“When you see the passion and enthusiasm that Rétromobile arouses in Paris among European classic car enthusiasts, it is obvious that this emotion and spirit also exists in the United States,” said Neveu. “Bringing Rétromobile to America was an obvious choice to give this fantastic show a wider audience and the largest market in the world in terms of classic cars. Like the annual Paris show, Rétromobile USA will appeal to all kinds of exhibitors, collectors and visitors gathered around a great celebration of design, craftsmanship and automotive history.”
“Comexposium is pleased to be able to adapt the Rétromobile experience to the world’s largest market. We can’t wait to meet up with our American collector friends who have long been regulars at the Parisian event and to come and meet American fans!”, said Romain Grabowski, director of the Rétromobile Paris show at Comexposium since 2023. So far, there has been no indication of where in the US the event will be held.
