Originally scheduled to open the 14th season of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), the Qatar 1812Km race will now take place in October at the Lusail International Circuit, thus becoming the penultimate round of the championship.
Scheduled to run alongside the main event, the CER support races organised by Peter Auto will also take place on the new date of 22-24 October, 2026. This is the weekend after the Peter Auto Imola Classic where the CER cars are also scheduled to run, which will no doubt results in a smaller group travelling to Qatar that would otherwise have been the case.
The various parties will continue to monitor developments in the region with the utmost attention in order to ensure the safety of all the participants.
