Motor Racing Legends has announced that Pierre-Antoine Lecoutour has been appointed as MRL’s new Chief Executive Officer. Pierre-Antoine is well-known in historic motorsport circles having worked in the field for the last decade.
Pierre-Antoine leaves his post as Head of Competition at Peter Auto, bringing significant experience of historic motorsport and event management with him, as well as a vast knowledge of the cars of all eras and connections across the European historic racing scene.
Pierre-Antoine commented, “I am thrilled to be joining the Motor Racing Legends family and deeply honoured that Shaun thought of me to lead this wonderful project! I come with great humility, considering the immense work accomplished by Duncan, Phillipa, and their team in making Motor Racing Legends a major player in the world of historic racing. I will give my best to contribute to this amazing adventure, always keeping in mind the spirit of camaraderie and respect that are the cornerstones of MRL grids.”
Shaun Lynn, Historic racer and head of Aythorpe Investments Ltd who acquired Motor Racing Legends earlier this year, said, “This appointment is an important moment in the continued development of Motor Racing Legends. We have already made huge strides in rejuvenating the business over the summer season with the introduction of the new GT3 Legends series and improved competitor hospitality. Pierre-Antoine is a significant appointment for Motor Racing Legends and I look forward to working together to drive MRL forward.”
MRL looks forward to announcing its 2025 Historic Racing Calendar within the next few weeks, featuring yet more new events and major enhancements to existing events.
