Pebble Beach – Change at the Top

This year, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will celebrate its 75th anniversary. For 40 of those years, its Chairman Sandra Button has been the force behind the event. That will change in October when she hands over to ex-Marine and then ex-California trial attorney, Vince W Finaldi. Though stepping back from day-to-day operational leadership, Sandra will continue in a new ambassadorial role until 2029.

“It’s the pinnacle concours in the world. So, my first plan is just to get in there and to learn everything I can about it, alongside Sandra. To listen to people, listen to the entrants, listen to the judges, listen to the vendors, listen to the manufacturers, and see what people want and what’s going great and what can be improved upon. But in the short term, I don’t see any major changes,” Finaldi told Magneto magazine.
