Silverstone Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Pringle, has been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2026 King’s New Year Honours List. The honour is in recognition of Stuart’s services to motorsport. With a background in historic motor sport – Stuart’s was the Competitions Secretary of the Vintage Sports Car Club before joining Silverstone as the Secretary of the BRDC in 2006 – he was appointed CEO of Silverstone in 2017 and has transformed it into a leading leisure destination. Significant projects during his tenure include securing the long-term future of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix and delivering multimillion-pound infrastructure developments, such as the Silverstone Museum, the recently launched Escapade trackside accommodation and the soon to open Kart Silverstone.

Commenting on the award, Stuart said, “I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition. It reflects the dedication and hard work of the entire team at Silverstone and the support and encouragement that we receive from the British Racing Drivers’ Club.”

“Stuart’s passion for, and dedication to, Silverstone and the British Racing Drivers’ Club over the past twenty years, combined with his strategic vision to create a year-round leisure destination with motorsport at its core, will secure the future of our world- famous circuit for generations to come. We are delighted that this has been recognised and it is an incredibly proud moment for our circuit and the club,” commented President of the British Racing Drivers’ Club, David Coulthard, himself an MBE.
