Masters Historic Racing has confirmed a significant expansion of its Formula 1 support race programme for 2026, marking a new chapter for the organisation and its flagship historic single-seater series, Masters Racing Legends.
Having previously supported selected Formula 1 events – most recently closing the 2025 season with an appearance at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Masters will take a notable step forward in 2026. Historic Formula One machinery will feature on the Formula 1 stage not once, but five times across the season, placing the cars of the sport’s golden era in the contemporary environment of five Grand Prix weekends.
The expanded programme will see Masters Racing Legends appear at the following Grands Prix:
• Formula 1 Lenovo Grand Prix du Canada – Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montréal (22-24 May)
• Formula 1 MSC Cruises United States Grand Prix Circuit of the Americas, Austin (23–25 October)
• Formula 1 Gran Premio de la Ciudad de Mexico 2026 Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Mexico City (30 October 1 November)
• Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix – Lusail International Circuit, Lusail (27–29 November)
• Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi (4–6 December)
For competitors, the opportunity is unique. Masters Racing Legends exclusively provides the platform to race authentic 1966–1985 Formula One machinery on today’s Formula 1 circuits, in front of international audiences and within the prestige, competitive and global atmosphere that only a Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend can provide. The 2026 programme reinforces the strength of the series and the growing demand to see historic Formula One cars presented alongside the modern pinnacle of the sport.
Presented across multiple Grands Prix, this exclusive programme offers limited grid availability, with already significant demand.

The Masters ended their season last year with a pair of races at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, one of which took place under the floodights
Monza to be an Annual event
Added to this, the Masters also recently announced that it is bringing back an annual historic race meeting to Monza, a circuit that has been sorely missed by historic racers. The Monza GP Revival will welcome all the Masters grids and will take place this year on 25-26 July, giving drivers the chance to race at ‘The Temple of Speed” once again.
