Le Mans Classic will host visionary engineer Gordon Murray as guest of honour at the Le Mans Classic Legend event in July. Designer of the Brabham BT42, the first Formula One car entirely of his design, Murray went on to join McLaren and contribute to the design of World Championship-winning single- seaters in the 1980s and 1990s. His name also remains famous as the creator of the legendary McLaren F1, a revolutionary supercar with a central driving position, whose GTR version not only won, but also captured four of the top five places on its debut appearance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. More recently Gordon Murray Automotive has specialised in the production of limited-edition supercars, GTs, and hypercars.

Derek Bell with his son Justin came third at Le Mans in this car in 1995

All these automotive masterpieces and other Gordon Murray designs and projects will be on display and on parade on 2-5 July at Le Mans Classic Legend.
