Everyone knows, or at the very least has heard of, Porsche specialist Richard Tuthill.  Amongst his many activities involving Porsche cars, he has raced, rallied, bought, sold, prepared and customised many, many historic Porsches.  He recently got the opportunity to design and build a Porsche-inspired car from scratch.  The GT ONE was born from a conversation between Richard Tuthill and client Elliot Ross, aiming to create a modern interpretation of a GT1 car optimised for road use.

Styled by California-based designer Florian Flatau, its 4.0-litre flat-six engine is available in two configurations, either naturally aspirated or with forced induction.  It has a full carbon fibre body and weighs just 1,200kg.  “The FIA GT1 class enabled manufacturers to create stunning race cars.  We have taken the best bits but focused on producing a wonderful road car.  We have taken inspiration from all that we have done in the past and have been inspired by what others have done before us and continue to do,” said Tuthill.  Just 22 examples will be built.
