Motor Racing Legends are promising to open their season with a real bang, as they expand the Donington Historic Festival programme with the addition of new race series and demos on the 1-3 May holiday weekend. All the MRL grids will be present, from pre-war cars to GT3, including the new Generations Trophy series for MGBs that seems to have captured the imagination, with, in addition, guest grids from Formula Junior, the HGPCA and, on Sunday, the HRDC Top Hat, Dunlop Allstars and Gerry Marshal Trophy races. Saturday’s racing will culminate in a two-hour Pall Mall Cup race for pre-‘66 GT and Pre-‘61 sports racing cars. The HMRN Pre-’63 GT race will run under its new format, with a 25-minute race for owner-drivers on Friday and a 40-minute two driver race on Saturday.

Having partnered with Supercar Driver, there will be lunchtime demos of both Hypercars and Porsches, as well as F1 demos, Club Parades and a chance for spectators to take pitwalks amongst the GT3 cars. See motorracinglegends.com for details and timetable.
