Young Theo Hunt burst into the news pages a few years ago driving his father Martin’s Frazer Nash TT Replica, amongst others, and was quick from the get-go, with multiple wins and placings in VSCC and other races and hillclimbs. He turned his attention to rallying and won the Vintage Shamrock Rally in 2025, he and James Gulliver the youngest crew to have ever won a Rally the Globe event. Now, still in the Frazer Nash, and still with Gulliver he has won the 3-day, 600-mile HERO/ ERA Flying Scotsman rally after mechanical problems sidelined the pair when in the lead two years ago.

Revenge was sweet for the youngsters, as they drove across the finish line at Gleneagles with bonny Scotland at its very best under radiant sunshine. The competition was still tight on the final day, with determined debutants Mike Dreelan and Miles Fieldhouse pushing hard from the start and just 23 seconds adrift.

The leaders had extended their lead on the final test, eking out the advantage as they had done two years ago. There must have been some nerves heading into the mid-morning regularities, as it had been at this point in 2024 that the wheels had come off their challenge for the win. But Theo and Jimmy were an almost unbeatable combination on the final tests, as Theo drifted the Nash around the sections with ease. There would be no cruel twists this year, they were flying, and the car would not let them down and there were big smiles all around as they crossed the line.
