The recent changes to Appendix K that allow Formula 1 cars of the Turbo era to race in historic events, will also be felt at the 15th running of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique next year (24-26 April), where they will be welcomed in a special class on the Race G grid, as was originally planned for 2022 when the Race G grid was introduced for F1 cars from 1981 to 1985.

The Selection Committee, however, will still very much be featuring the 3-litre-engined single-seaters, generally equipped with Ford Cosworth DFV V8s that will still be the stars of the show. Race A1, reserved exclusively for pre-war cars, remains on the programme, as does Race A2 for post-war, front-engine cars and the Race C for sportscars. The other five grids, for F1 cars, will represent the evolution of Grand Prix racing over almost 40 years from 1946 to 1985. Entries open at the end of September at acm.mc.
